Description
This photographic series seeks to present the complexity of movement, form and interconnectedness present in nature. By intentionally manipulating the camera’s features, I capture trees in a manner that furthers distortions of their form, creating abstract and intricate patterns from their branches and structure. Through these techniques, I create patterns and lines that crossover in waves, as if the force of the wind itself was at play.
Rather than present a traditional image of a tree, I endeavor to present a different visual dialogue. By manipulating the camera to create new patterns, shapes, and lines, I hope to leave the viewer with a feeling of mystery and awe regarding the beauty of the natural world and the potential of camera movement to create new forms and compositions.
