Bold Event Branding for Canada Soccer’s 2018 Match vs Germany

A massive international match held on Canadian soil (Canada Soccer YouTube) deserves a bold design strategy — and that’s exactly what this project delivered. With #5-ranked Canada facing off against #2-ranked Germany, the branding had to be intense, nationalistic, and unmistakably red.
This project focused on unifying pre-event marketing, digital assets, and in-stadium visuals under one cohesive identity. The iconic Christine Sinclair was featured prominently across formats, anchoring the emotional and visual focus.
Key Deliverables
Event Poster
A high-impact event poster that served as the visual anchor for the match. By utilizing a “nationalistic red” palette and brushstroke textures, I captured the grit and dynamism of elite international soccer, creating a piece that resonated with both casual fans and die-hard supporters.

Digital & Display Ads
To drive ticket sales and awareness, I developed a comprehensive digital advertising suite. This included everything from email banners to HD information displays, ensuring a consistent and professional brand presence across every digital touchpoint.




Social Media Graphics
A series of dynamic player cards featuring stars like Buchanan and Lawrence. Each asset was specifically adapted for Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, allowing the Canada Soccer team to share real-time, professional content that humanized the stars and celebrated the sport.



In-Venue Screen Graphics
The branding extended beyond the screen and into the stadium. I produced HD screen graphics and animated banners that maintained visual continuity inside the venue, turning the physical environment into a bold, unified celebration of the national team.
