Plan Smart: Reel Specs by Platform

Different platforms have different rules. When planning your promotional video, keep these essential specs in mind to maximize reach and performance:

  • Instagram: Reels up to 60 seconds, vertical format (9:16), recommended resolution: 1080×1920 px
  • Instagram Stories: Up to 15 seconds per story card, vertical 1080×1920 px
  • YouTube Shorts: Up to 60 seconds, vertical format, 1080×1920 px
  • YouTube Standard: Any duration, typically 16:9 horizontal, minimum HD (1280×720 px)
  • LinkedIn: Up to 10 minutes, preferred format: horizontal 16:9, 1080p recommended
  • Facebook Reels: Up to 90 seconds, 9:16 format, 1080×1920 px
  • X/Twitter: Up to 2 minutes 20 seconds (longer for verified accounts), recommended 16:9, 720p or higher
