Inside the Story
Project Overview
For this project, I was tasked with creating a visual strategic branding package for AOF Immigration Canada’s employer-focused information session. The goal was to promote a professional yet accessible event tailored to Canadian employers seeking to hire international workers through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
The deliverables included:
- A 1-minute motion graphics video to outline the event theme and value.
- An illustrated event poster with key details and social proof.
- A unified visual style for digital sharing across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Design Concept
We leaned into a networking-inspired visual language, with silhouetted icons, circular photo frames, and digital overlays to symbolize partnership, global reach, and talent flow. The layout was kept clear and information-forward, aligning with the expectations of busy professionals and business owners.
The red and burgundy palette complemented AOF’s brand while providing contrast to emphasize call-to-action text and contact details.
Key Elements
Key Branding Highlights
- Event Title Animation: A bold animated opening established the session’s importance and captured attention quickly.
- Location Visual: Featuring Ottawa’s Château Laurier gave the video a trusted and recognizable setting.
- Benefit Icons: Custom-designed icons illustrated core advantages such as Expert Guidance, Global Reach, and Streamlined Processes.
- Poster Design: Integrated real employer partners (Tim Hortons, Valentine, Maxi) to build trust and offer social proof.
Outcome
The materials were used across AOF’s communication channels and helped establish a clear and professional visual presence for this employer engagement initiative. The design emphasized clarity, trust, and value—all critical to reaching and resonating with a business audience.
